After giving away the World Cup trophy to Australia skipper Pat Cummins, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a crestfallen Indian cricket team in the dressing room.

Video footage captured Prime Minister Narendra Modi offering solace and encouragement to the Indian cricket team following their World Cup loss. After presenting the coveted trophy to Australian skipper Pat Cummins, PM Modi made a heartfelt visit to the disheartened Indian squad in their dressing room. He extended his support and motivation to Rohit Sharma and his team, who faced defeat against Australia in the World Cup final held in Ahmedabad last Sunday.

In the released video from the dressing room, PM Modi commended the Indian cricket team for their commendable performance, highlighting their impressive journey to the final with an unbeaten streak of 10 victories. He reassured the team that their dedicated efforts were evident and emphasized that there should be no room for disappointment. PM Modi stressed that the outcome, whether a win or loss, was beyond one's control, emphasizing the significance of the team's endeavor.

One poignant moment captured PM Modi sharing a conversation with Mohammad Shami. Shami later shared a picture on social media, depicting him resting his head on the Prime Minister's shoulder, expressing gratitude to all Indians for their unwavering support throughout the tournament. He specifically thanked PM Narendra Modi for his visit to the dressing room, uplifting their spirits. Shami concluded with optimism, stating, "Yesterday may not have been our day, but we appreciate the support. We will come back stronger."
