PM Narendra Modi congratulated to the grand old Congress party for their victories in major three states. Taking to twitter PM Modi said, “Congratulations to the Congress for their victories. Congratulations to KCR Garu for the thumping win in Telangana and to the Mizo National Front (MNF) for their impressive win in Mizoram.Congratulations to KCR Garu”.
In other tweet he said, “The family of BJP Karyakartas worked day and night for the state elections. I salute them for their hardwork. Victory and defeat are an integral part of life. Today’s results will further our resolve to serve people and work even harder for the development of India.
In another tweet PM Modi said, “We accept the people’s mandate with humility. I thank the people of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan for giving us the opportunity to serve these states. The BJP Governments in these states worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people”.
In the 5-state elections, Congress has emerged as the single largest party in Madhya Pradesh,Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is where the Congress beat the BJP handed down ejecting 15-year-old Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh from office but it also lost its lone refuge in the North-East to Mizoram's regional group MNF. Its coalition experiment in Telangana also blasted hugely with K Chandrashekhar Rao and his TRS got a resounding mandate.
Neither the Congress, nor the BJP got a majority in MP but Both the parties have crossed the 100 mark. In Madhya Pradesh, Congress has won 114 seats while incumbent BJP got 109 while others got 7 seats.
In Chhattisgarh, Congress is all set to form the govt after 15 years of BJP rule. Congress won 68 seats and BJP got 15 seats. Congress cadres celebrated their win in Raipur.
