Jaisalmer: Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating Diwali with Border Security Force personnel stationed at Longewala in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. He celebrates this festival with soldiers for many years. Prime Minister Modi has reached the Jaisalmer border for the seventh consecutive time, keeping the tradition of celebrating Diwali with them. During this, he is accompanied by Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Narwane and Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Rakesh Asthana.


During this address, the Prime Minister bowed down to the families of the soldiers posted on the outskirts and said, 'My Diwali is completed only among the soldiers. You are the festival of the country. I have brought sweets for the soldiers from the countryside. Every mother in the country has sweetness in sweets. I have brought the love of countrymen for you.' He further said, 'Longewala post's name is on everyone's tongue. Shaurya saga has been written on Longewala post. If there is talk of might, then the Battle of Longewala will be known. However, before this, the Prime Minister greeted the people of the country through a tweet on Diwali.

In a tweet, he wrote, 'Hearty greetings to all countrymen on Diwali. May this festival bring happiness in the lives of the people and all of them remain healthy and prosperous. ' However, on Friday itself, the Prime Minister had tweeted and said, "This Diwali, let us all light a lamp in honour of the soldiers who fearlessly protect the country. The spirit of expressing gratitude by words towards soldiers for their exemplary bravery cannot do justice. We are also grateful to the families of the soldiers who stood on the borders." Now he has reached among the soldiers to celebrate Diwali.
