New Delhi: Today, it is likely that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will mark his presence in the Rajya Sabha to intervene over demonetization and to take over the opposition parties.

As, from the starting day of the Winter session of Parliament, all the opposition leaders has been disrupting the meet over the demonetization and calling for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address both houses to speak on the issue.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala asked, “The prime minister is not able to gather courage to face Parliament. Why is he running away from the battle ground?” 

Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said on yesterday while rejecting the demands of opposition to take a step back on the decision of demonetization, “the nation has supported the government's step to unearth black money and the decision has been taken keeping in view of the welfare of the farmers and the marginalised sections of society.”
