The  Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday has shown his grief on the demise of the Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) P.N. Bhagwati. Due to the illness, he died yesterday. Through tweeting on Twitter PM Modi expressed his grief.

The demise of Justice PN Bhagwati is saddening. He was a stalwart of India's legal fraternity. My deepest condolences, PM Modi wrote.

Justice PN Bhagwati's remarkable contributions made our judicial system more accessible & gave voice to millions., he further added.

President Pranab Mukherjee on Twitter wrote Deepest condolences on the demise of former CJI PN Bhagwati, his contribution to the judicial system shall always be remembered.

The  External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj I am sorry to know about the sad demise of Chief Justice P.N.Bhagwati. He was People's judge. My condolences to the bereaved family.
