New Delhi: Under the Gareeb Welfare Scheme, migrant workers who migrate from different states of the country to their respective villages will be provided employment. The campaign will be started in 116 districts of six states of the country. In this campaign, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and Odisha have been selected for this program with more than 25 thousand migrant workers from 116 districts, which includes 27 districts that express their desire. Two-thirds of migrant laborers are expected to benefit from these districts.

It is noteworthy that during the Corona crisis, a large number of migrant laborers have returned home. The employment crisis has arisen with the workers. In the midst of this situation, the central government is going to start a special campaign. The name of this scheme is poor welfare employment. PM Modi has launched this scheme. Earlier Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had informed the media about this scheme on Thursday.

Under this scheme, migrant laborers migrating from different parts of the country to their respective villages will be provided employment. The campaign will be started in 116 districts of six states of the country. On the occasion of starting the campaign on June 20, the CMs of these states and the ministers of the concerned ministry will also connect through video conferencing.
