New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed party workers through video conferencing on the occasion of the 42nd Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Due to this, Prime Minister Modi told the workers that my prayer is that the blessings of Mother Skandamata remain on the countrymen, on every hardworking worker of the BJP and on every member. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Today is also the fifth day of Navratri, on this day we all worship Mother Skandamata. We have all seen that Mother Skandamata sits on the lotus seat and holds the lotus flower in both her hands.'' He further said, "I congratulate every member of the BJP spread across the country and the world very much. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Kutch to Kohima, the BJP is continuously strengthening the resolve of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.''

Addressing the workers, Prime Minister Modi said, "This time the foundation day has become important due to 3 more reasons. The first reason is that at this time we are celebrating the festival of 75 years of independence of the country, we are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of independence. It's a great opportunity for inspiration. The second reason is the rapidly changing global conditions, the changing global order. There are new possibilities for India. The third reason is equally important. A few weeks ago, BJP's double engine governments in 4 states have returned. After three decades, the number of members of a party in the Rajya Sabha has reached 100.'' Prime Minister Modi further said, "From a global point of view or from a national point of view, the responsibility of the BJP, the obligation of every BJP worker is constantly increasing. So every worker of the BJP is the representative of the country's dreams, the representative of the country's resolutions. During this Amrit Mahotsav, India's thinking is of self-reliance, of making local-global, of social justice and harmony. It was on these resolutions that our party was founded. So this period is a duty period for every BJP worker.''

Prime Minister Modi further said, "Today, there is an India in front of the world which stands firm for its interests, without any fear or pressure. When the whole world is divided into two opposing poles, India is being seen as a country that can speak of humanity with determination.'' He further said, "Our government is working keeping national interests paramount. Today, the country has policies, it is also fixed. Today, the country has the power of decision, and there is also the determination power. So, today we are setting targets, we are also fulfilling them.'' Earlier, UP CM Yogi Adityanath hoisted the party's flag at the Lucknow party office on the 42nd foundation day of the BJP. Speaking at a programme to mark the BJP's 'Foundation Day,' Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the BJP's visit is a matter of surprise for political analysts in the country and the world. This journey says a lot. He said- "The purpose of the establishment of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh was that we have to take forward as a political party, not the politics of power, but the people who have created a sense of dedication to India. April 6 is a special day in the political history of the country and it was on this day that the BJP was founded in the year 1980. This new party was born from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, founded in 1951 by Syama Prasad Mookerjee. After the declaration of emergency in 1977, the Jana Sangh merged with many other parties and the Janata Party emerged. The party snatched power from the Congress in the 1977 general election and the foundation of the BJP was laid by disbanding the Janata Party in 1980.
