New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Kerala and Tamil Nadu today. He has reached Chennai during his visit to Tamil Nadu. In Chennai, he has handed over the indigenously developed new Arjun Tank Army. With this, he has started addressing the program after inaugurating all the projects here. In his address, he said- 'It is a matter of pleasure that the Chennai Metro Project was completed on time. This will drive the development of Chennai. Also, it has been prepared in India. This is the biggest example of a self-sufficient India. I would like to commend the farmers of Tamil Nadu for food production and good utilization of water resources.'

Further PM Modi said in his address, "It is a matter of pride for me to hand over the Arjun Mark 1A tank to the country." It will be deployed on the northern borders of the country. The Prime Minister is going to dedicate to the nation the Propylene Derivatives Petrochemical Project (PDPP) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in Kerala.

Indeed, this compound will produce acrylates, acrylic acid, and oxo-alcohol, which are still purchased from abroad. It will save about Rs 3700 to 4000 crores of foreign exchange and it has cost about 6000 crores rupees.
