PM Narendra Modi inaugurated commencement of work of an oil refinery at Pachpadra in Rajasthan's Barmer district. Ahead of the commencement of Barmer oil refinery, PM Narendra Modi paid a visit to an exhibition about the project. PM Modi visited the Pratap Gaurav Kendra which provides information, in the course of various exhibits, about the life, valour and achievements of Maharana Pratap who is the brave heart of Mewad,Rajasthan.

PM Modi laid a foundation stone of 11 completed National Highway projects, covering a total length of about 873 km, a Rajasthan government talking head informed in Jaipur.

Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje from BJP along with Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also addressed the public meeting at the inauguration ceremony.

Rajasthan has noteworthy reserves of oil and gas. The Rajasthan Refinery will be the first and one of a kind in the state which is envisaged as a nine million metric tonnes per annum (MMTA) refinery-cum-petrochemical complex. The projected cost of this scheme is said to be over Rs 43,000 crore. Rajasthan Refinery is a joint venture of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and government of Rajasthan.

In this event, PM Modi put emphasis on 2022 aims as saying

 “It is the responsibility of every Indian to make India the country that our freedom fighters dreamt of by 2022. This is a time for 'Sankalp se Siddhi.' We must focus on our aims and work towards achieving them by 2022 when we mark 75 years of freedom says I am elated to be in Rajasthan that too for a project that will bring happiness and prosperity to the lives of many.” said PM Modi
