BHUBANESWAR (Odisha): On January 28, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Utkarsh Odisha - Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 - at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. The event was attended by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Ministers, and business leaders from across India and around the world. Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw were also present at the event.
The Utkarsh Odisha - Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, hosted by the Government of Odisha, is the state's key Global Investment Summit. It aims to make Odisha a central part of the Purvodaya vision and a top investment and industrial hub in India.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Majhi thanked Prime Minister Modi for his ongoing support to the state. He highlighted that this is PM Modi’s fifth visit to Odisha in the past seven months and mentioned that the recent steps, including the launch of 'Purvodaya', will lead to major infrastructure improvements in the state.
"In the last seven months, this is your (PM Modi’s) fifth visit to Odisha, and every time you bring gifts for us. This time, you've brought something huge that will completely change Odisha in the next few months. The strong infrastructure being built on the foundation of 'Purvodaya' will transform the state," Majhi said.
The conclave will feature CEO and leaders' roundtables, sector-focused sessions, B2B meetings, and policy discussions, ensuring productive conversations with global investors.
PM Modi also launched the Make in Odisha Exhibition, showcasing the state's progress in building a dynamic industrial ecosystem. The two-day event, running from January 28 to 29, will provide a platform for industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore the many investment opportunities Odisha offers.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Majhi warmly welcomed PM Modi to the state. On social media, he wrote, "Welcoming PM Narendra Modi Ji to the sacred land of Shree Jagannath for the inauguration of the transformative 'Utkarsh Odisha 2025', a major step towards a developed Bharat, developed Odisha."
