NEW DELHI: India Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated a two-day national office-bearers meeting of the BJP, which will laid down the party's political agenda as it readies for the next round of state polls and the all-important Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
The meeting is also being attended by BJP national president J.P. Nadda, party state presidents and general secretaries.
chaired by national president J.P. Nadda, the meeting is deliberating on the strategies and preparations for the state Assembly elections 2023. Various organisational activities from booth committees will also be talked over.
National General secretaries Dushyant Gautam, Bhupender Yadav, Baijant Panda, Tarun Chugh, C.T. Ravi are also participating the meeting. In addition, BJP state President UP Bhupendra Chaudhary, Uttrakhand party president Mahendra Bhatt and other party state presidents are also participating in the meeting.
Party leaders are engaged in organisational works round the year, and the meeting will serve as a stock-taking exercise.
Several groups of party leaders, including Union ministers, have also been roped in to further strengthen its presence, especially in places where it lost in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and is eying victory in 2024.
Some electorally important states, including Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, besides Tripura and Chhattisgarh are scheduled to have assembly polls in run up to the Lok Sabha elections.
