New Delhi: PM Modi launched Kisan Suryodaya Yojana, Pediatric Heart Hospital and Girnar Ropeway in his home state Gujarat through video conferencing. The Gujarat government recently announced the Kisan Suryodaya Yojana under the leadership of Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani to provide electricity supply for irrigation during the day.
Under this scheme, farmers will be able to supply electricity from 5 am to 9 pm. The Rupani government has approved a budget of Rs 3,500 crore to set up infrastructure under the scheme by 2023. PM Modi also inaugurated the Pediatric Hospital attached to the U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center. PM Modi is also going to launch a mobile application for telecardiology at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital today.
The UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology has been expanded at a cost of Rs 470 crore. After the completion of the expansion project, the number of beds will increase from 450 to 1251. The institute will also become the largest single super-speciality cardiac educational institution in the country and will join one of the world's largest single super-speciality cardiac hospitals.
