Uttar Pradesh: On Tuesday, December 7, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 9600 crores in Gorakhpur.
The event was also attended by Governor Anandiben Patel and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. PM Modi visited Gorakhpur earlier today to see a display of development initiatives.
PM Modi visited Gorakhpur to open the fertiliser plant, the AIIMS Gorakhpur, and the ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) Gorakhpur.
Earlier it was mentioned that the fertiliser facility, which has been shut down since 1990, would reopen next month. Both facilities will be dedicated to the public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Yogi Adityanath had earlier said that the state's healthcare system has seen a massive makeover under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. Since independence, the state has only had 12 medical colleges, but the government is currently building 33 new medical institutions. The state of Uttar Pradesh will hold elections early next year.
