Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, marked a significant milestone in Telangana by inaugurating projects and laying the foundation stone for new infrastructure schemes collectively valued at over Rs 8,000 crore in Nizamabad.
One of the highlights of this event was the inauguration of the first 800 MW unit of phase 1 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project, a project led by the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). This power plant is expected to play a pivotal role in supplying cost-effective electricity to the state, contributing substantially to Telangana's economic growth. Furthermore, it is designed to meet stringent environmental standards, positioning it as one of the nation's most environmentally compliant power stations.
In addition to the thermal power project, the Prime Minister dedicated several rail projects to the nation. These included a new railway line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet, which is expected to enhance connectivity and facilitate transportation in the region. Modi also inaugurated the electrification project between Dharmabad-Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar-Kurnool, which is poised to improve railway operations and reduce environmental impact.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of 20 critical care blocks (CCBs) as part of the Pradhan Mantri - Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. These critical care blocks are planned for development in various districts across Telangana, including Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Hyderabad, Khammam, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Mahabubnagar (Badepally), Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Rajanna Sircilla, RangaReddy (Maheshwaram), Suryapet, Peddapalli, Vikarabad, and Warangal (Narsampet).
This extensive array of projects and initiatives signifies a significant boost to Telangana's infrastructure and development efforts, and it aligns with the broader goal of enhancing connectivity, power generation, and healthcare facilities in the state. Prime Minister Modi's presence and commitment to these endeavors underscore the importance of these projects for the region's growth and progress.
