Jodhpur :Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Parakram Parv’ at Jodhpur to mark the 2nd anniversary of surgical strike day on Friday.In Jodhpur Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed the visitors book at the Air Force Station. He will later inaugurate the Army exhibition 'Parakarm Parv' at Jodhpur Military Station today, marking the second anniversary of the surgical strike across the Line of Control.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi accorded 'guard of honour' at Jodhpur airport. He will also attend the Combined Commanders' Conference today.

Parakram Parv is celebrated to showcase courage, the sacrifice of armed forces.

Parakram Parv celebration which started from Friday following the conclusion on Sunday will showcase the courage, valour and sacrifice of Indian Armed Forces.

The main event is planned at India Gate Lawns, Rajpath in the national capital New Delhi. Similarly, 53 locations in 51 cities across the country will be showcasing the events highlighting valour of Indian Armed Forces in general and Special Forces in particular.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will visit India Gate lawns at the inauguration of the Parakram Parv and also interact with children. In this meet National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and the three services chiefs, besides several key military and civil officials of the Ministry of Defence will also be present.
