Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Singapore on Wednesday, concluding his visit to Brunei. Upon his arrival, he was greeted warmly by the Indian community with vibrant dance and music performances. In a festive spirit, PM Modi joined in the celebration by trying his hand at playing the dhol, a traditional drum.

A video of the Prime Minister participating in the celebrations quickly went viral, showcasing him engaging with women performing the Lavani, a traditional folk dance from Maharashtra.

In a post on social media, PM Modi expressed his enthusiasm for the visit, stating, "Landed in Singapore. Looking forward to various meetings aimed at strengthening the India-Singapore friendship." He also highlighted India's potential as an investment destination, noting, "India’s reforms and the talent of our youth make our nation an ideal place for investment. We anticipate deeper cultural connections."

During his two-day visit, PM Modi is set to meet with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. This marks his fifth visit to Singapore and his first since 2018. The visit includes a business roundtable with local business leaders and discussions with key figures in the semiconductor industry.
