Lucknow: PM Narendra Modi lashed out at opposition parties while launching several women schemes launched by the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh. Without naming Samajwadi Party (SP) and Akhilesh Yadav, PM Narendra Modi said that five years ago there was mafia rule on the streets of UP. There used to be goons dominating power. Women suffered the most. It was difficult for them to get out on the road.

PM Modi said that when women used to go to police stations, they used to get calls from somebody to free criminals and rapists. Today, Yogiji has taken these goons to their rightful place. Today, there is security and rights in UP. Today, no one can push this new Uttar Pradesh back into the dark. PM Modi said in Prayagraj that the country is watching how the work is being done in Uttar Pradesh. The development stream of Uttar Pradesh is no longer going to stop anyone from stopping.

PM Modi said the mothers and sisters of the state are determined not to allow the old era to return. Our efforts have led to an increase in the birth rate of daughters in many States of the country. Maternity leave for women has been increased to 6 months. We have done a lot of work to ensure that daughters do not have to leave school. From constructing separate toilets in schools for daughters to distributing sanitary pads.
