Hyderabad: The National Executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party was held in Hyderabad today. In the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu. PM Modi said, "If Draupadi Murmu is elected India's first tribal woman president in the future, it will be a true honour." Murmu had filed his nomination on June 24 in the presence of PM Modi, the party's national president JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and leaders of the NDA-led alliance. Apart from this, Akali Dal had severed ties with BJP after the resentment over the farm laws and AIADMK has also said to give its support to Murmu.
