New Delhi The RuPay card will now be valid in Bhutan, India's neighboring country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the card on his visit to Bhutan. Pm Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Bhutan, launched a RuPay card by shopping at Simkoza Zhong. A total of five MoUs were signed between India and Bhutan in the presence of the Prime Minister of India and Bhutan. "I am very happy that today we have launched the RuPay card in Bhutan.
This will further enhance our relationship with digital payments, and trade and tourism. "Simtokha, built-in 1629 by Shamdrung Namgyal, serves as the administrative center and is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan," Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said in a tweet. "Simtokha Dzong serves as a monastic and administrative center built-in 1629 by Shamdrung Namgyal and is one of the oldest Dazhongs in Bhutan," Ravish Kumar said in a tweet.
The inauguration ceremony and MoUs are being exchanged for the first time at the historic memorial site. Prime Minister Modi arrived in the capital Thimphu on Saturday. He was received here with a great warm welcome. The Prime Minister of Bhutan, Dr. Lotte Shering welcomed the Prime Minister. Bhutan is also strategically important for India.
