PM Narendra Modi launched Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan on National Panchayati Raj Day in Mandla, MadhyaPradesh.

Observing National Panchayati Raj Day, PM Narendra Modi digitally marked laying of foundation stone for LPG bottling plant in Maneri, Mandla.

On the event, PM Modi and Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chouhan released a roadmap for the overall development of tribals in the next 5 years.

In his address, PM said that Bapu always highlighted the importance of villages and spoke about 'Gram Swaraj and Panchayati Raj Day is an opportunity to fulfil Mahatma Gandhi's dream.

He added that the Govt will support people's representatives in villages in empowering their villages and people.

 PM Modi asserted, “Today amount of budget is not a worry; it is about it's honest implementation for the right beneficiaries. “

“When it comes to rural development, Budgets are important. But, there is a shift in the discourse in last few years. People are now talking about the need to ensure that money allocated for a project is utilized and  it is done in a transparent manner, “PM Narendra Modi in Mandla.

Prime Minister's visit to Mandla on Panchayats Raj Day is an indication of the government's assurance to bring people in remote regions into the developmental mainstream.

PM Modi felicitated of panchayat heads and said it will show a source of inspiration to the rest of India and highlight the attainments and best practices of these interventions.
