Odisha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone of Talcher Fertiliser Plant here in Talcher. PM Modi addressed a huge rally as saying "You have broken all records of previous rallies. This huge crowd portrays the sentiments of the people of Odisha, PM Modi at a public rally in Talcher, Odisha.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik received PM Narendra Modi in Talcher.

In his address, PM Modi said, "Our aim is to take India to new heights of growth. Projects like the fertiliser plant here are central to India's growth story". This plant will use the latest technology as well.

Earlier  Prime Minister Narendra Modi met and interacted with Anganwadi workers upon his arrival in Talcher.

He also expressed his gratitude as saying, "I am happy to be in Talcher. I am happy we are taking an important step of beginning work in a fertiliser plant here. We are fulfilling dreams that should have been fulfilled long ago".

Talking about his cleanliness initiative, PM Modi said, "I had urged CM Naveen Babu that Odisha will be left behind in cleanliness. But today, when I have come here, I again urge Naveen Babu to give priority to cleanliness in Odisha for the health of the people here".

Hailing his government projects PM Modi said, "When BJP govt came to power in the centre, the work on fertiliser plants picked up speed. I ensure you that the construction of Talcher Fertiliser Plant will be completed in 36 months & I'll again come here to inaugurate it".

PM Modi will also travel to Jharsuguda to launch an airport there. It will bring western Odisha on the aviation map of India, and help regional air connectivity through the UDAN scheme. The prime minister will also dedicate the Garjanbahal coal mines, and the Jharsuguda-Barapali-Sardega rail link to the nation.

He will also unveil a plaque to mark the commencement of coal production and transportation from Dulanga coal mines.PM Modi is also slated to poll-bound Chattisgadh for launching several development projects.
