New Delhi: PM Modi led NDA government is reportedly planning on working out a number of incentives, including a huge financial package, to entice the farmers ahead of the 2019 general polls.

The government's expected announcement of incentives to offer momentum to rural income will come following feedback given by BJP leaders and MPs. The government may announce packages for farmers relief before the winter session of Parliament ends on January 5.

PM Modi led  govt has come under ruthless condemnation for not paying attention to the ever growing agrarian crisis and gloomy condition of the farmers in India.

Sources stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks on a wide-ranging farm relief plan with finance Minister Arun Jaitley, national BJP chief Amit Shah and agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh.

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram  trained a gun and said the Modi led government's plan is to pay farmers the difference between the minimum support price and market price. He stated this was already tried by the BJP in Madhya Pradesh but no relief was given to the indebted farmers.

"The prime minister says that Congress governments' loan waivers are only to win elections. So, shall we assume that PM's 'Farmers' Relief Plan' is intended to lose elections?" he wrote at his twitter handle.
