Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Assam on April 28 to inaugurate the newly built Cancer Hospital in Dibrugarh, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
On Sunday, Sarma, along with various Ministers, inspected the newly constructed Cancer Hospital at Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh and conducted a discussion on various matters, including the opening of the newly built Cancer Hospital.
Sarma, speaking to the media, said, "PM Modi will open the cancer hospital at AMCH Dibrugarh on April 28, and he will also open six other cancer hospitals in Assam on the same day. In Assam, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for eight new cancer hospitals."
PM Modi is also expected to inspect the Assam Medical College's Cancer Hospital, according to Sarma. "The event will take place in Dibrugarh's Khanikar Sports Ground and Police Reserve Sports Ground.
