As declared, PM Modi is going to address the nation on the New Year Eve at 7:30, today. It is expected that he may make some announcements to please common people, especially farmers, youth and labourers.
The most probable announcement may be waiving of farmer's loans. The Modi govt. may make some difference in its loan waiver scheme from the earlier Manmohan Govt.; such as it can waive the loans of marginal and small farmers only and for other farmers only partial waiver may be provided. The farmers having around 2 Hactares of land, it may also be conditional, like they may get waiver only if they can prove that their last two crops had been damaged due to any natural adversity. It is considered 'most probable' because the opposition had also demanded the same and complained that the farmers are badly affected by demonetisation. As per the data given by FM, the govt. is in comfortable position for making such announcements.
Besides, the PM is likely to announce some more incentives for people making digital or cash-less payments and some measures to promote more Jan Dhan Accounts or incentives for the existing Jan Dhan account holders. It is also expected that he may announce any new employment related scheme or some modification to induce the existing schemes of Skill India, Make in India, etc. or he may introduce or may promise to introduce new scheme for scholerships and for self employment for youth.
Along with the above positive expectations, he is likely to again pressurize the black money holders to adopt the new offer of confessing their black money, paying 50% and contributing in the 'PM Garib Kalyan Kosh'
