New Delhi: The tension between India and China is only deepening in Ladakh. In such a situation, PM Narendra Modi has met with National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and the three army chiefs on Tuesday. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi also met the Foreign Secretary.

According to the information given by the sources, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also met the three army chiefs and took information about the situation. This round of meetings is going on at a time when there are reports of clashes between Chinese and Indian soldiers in Sikkim and Ladakh. It is noteworthy that tensions between Indian and Chinese troops continue in many areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh and this tension could take the form of the biggest military confrontation since the 2017 Doklam standoff.

Highly placed military sources have said that India has strengthened its position in Pangong Tso and Galvan Valley. In these two disputed areas, the Chinese army has deployed two to two and a half thousand soldiers and it is gradually strengthening its temporary construction. Let us tell that a total of five meetings have been held between the local military commanders of India and China, but the situation has not been resolved on the front of about 80 km. Most officials agree that the situation at LAC is "unprecedented", with tensions high enough. He suggested that a solution to this crisis would have to be found soon as "a change of status quo by China cannot be accepted in any way."
