Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his mother Heeraben Modi at her home in Gandhinagaron her 100th birthday. 
PM Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben is celebrating her 100th birthday today. On the special occasion of his mother's 100th birthday, PM Modi has arrived in Gujarat. PM Modi reached Gandhinagar and took the blessings of his mother on the occasion and also offered prayers to her. PM Narendra Modi also gave away his mother's feet and a shawl in gifts.  
"Took blessings of my mum today as she enters her 100th year," PM Modi tweeted this morning.  PM Modi was also seen sitting at his mother's feet and talking to her. Earlier, a special puja was also held at home to mark the entry of PM Modi's mother Heeraben into the 100th year of age. PM Modi's brother sweetened the mouth of all those present after the special puja recitation in the house. PM Modi along with his mother Heeraben also offered prayers at the temple located in the house.

PM Modi has great faith in the Kali Maiya of Pavagadh and that is the reason why he is reaching here to offer prayers on the special occasion of entering the 100th year of his mother's age. A flag hoisting will also be held at the summit of the Pavagadh temple today. It is being told that after 500 years, there has been an occasion when the flag hoisting will take place at the top of the temple.
