New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi met Japanese PM Yoshihide Suga in the US capital Washington DC on Thursday. Talks between the heads of state of Asia's two economic superpowers discussed various issues promoting India-Japan cooperation. Meanwhile, PM Modi described Japan as the most important partner.

After meeting his Japanese counterpart, PM Modi tweeted, 'Japan is one of India's most valuable partners. I had an excellent meeting with PM Yoshihide Suga on various topics, which will further promote cooperation between our countries. A strong India-Japan friendship is good for the whole world.'
