NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the G20 Development Ministers' Meeting through video conference. The Prime minister welcomed G20 delegates in Varanasi, UP.

"I am happy to see that Kashi has also been included in the G20 development agenda. For the developing world, development is a crucial concern...I firmly believe that it is our joint duty to prevent the sustainable development goals from slipping behind schedule. No one must be left behind, the prime minister emphasised.

The Prime Minister also mentioned in his speech that democratisation of technology is a crucial tool for bridging the data gap. According to Prime Minister Modi, "Digitalization has brought about a revolutionary change in India."

While speaking at the meeting, he added, "We have worked to enhance people's lives in more than 100 aspirational districts that were pockets of underdevelopment. "Our efforts must be comprehensive, inclusive, fair, and sustainable," he said, adding that India believes in not only woman empowerment, but also "women-led development".

The G20's aims include promoting open and inclusive international trade, addressing financial vulnerabilities, advancing sustainable development, and addressing the needs and concerns of developing countries. It also focuses on addressing issues such as income inequality, digital transformation, energy transition, and climate change. The
