NEW DELHI: On the anniversaries of their births, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu paid tribute to Rabindranath Tagore, Gopal Krishna Gokhale, and Maharana Pratap.

"On the occasion of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary, my humble compliments." Gurudev was a well-known poet, renowned writer, outstanding philosopher, social reformer, and educator. Many people throughout the world continue to be inspired by his timeless works," Naidu said.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated, "I bow to Gurudev Tagore on his Jayanti." He continues to inspire millions of people via his words and actions. He instilled in us a sense of pride in our country, culture, and ethos. Education, learning, and social empowerment were highlighted by him. We are dedicated to realising his India vision." 

"My tributes to the great independence warrior and eminent social reformer, Gopal Krishna Gokhale on his birth day," Naidu said. He was a visionary leader who dedicated his life to the advancement of education. His outstanding contribution to the independence movement and the field of education will be remembered with gratitude for the rest of his life." "Tributes to the great Gopal Krishna Gokhale on his birth anniversary," Modi remarked in his tribute. His contribution to the fight for freedom is immeasurable. We are continually inspired by his unshakable dedication to democratic principles and social empowerment." 

"My humble respects to the famous warrior king, Maharana Pratap on his Jayanti today," the Vice President remarked in his homage to Maharana Pratap. His steely drive, extraordinary bravery, and outstanding leadership are well-known. Every Indian is inspired by his unwavering affection for our motherland." "The story of his bravery and suffering will always inspire the countrymen," Modi added.
