Jodhpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the film 'The Vaccine War' for showcasing the dedication of Indian scientists in creating the indigenous COVID-19 vaccine during a public meeting in Rajasthan's Jodhpur on October 5. He emphasized that the vaccine produced in India had saved millions of lives worldwide and criticized the Congress party for casting doubts on Indian vaccines.

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi commended the movie 'The Vaccine War' for highlighting the hard work of Indian scientists in combating COVID-19. He compared their commitment to "meditation" and applauded their efforts. The film tells the story of the development of Covaxin, India's first COVID-19 vaccine, and the sacrifices made by the scientific community, particularly women, in its creation. He also questioned the law and order situation in Rajasthan under Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's leadership, citing incidents of violence and gang wars in Jodhpur. Prime Minister Modi pledged to make Rajasthan a leader in tourism and criticized the Congress government for not addressing the concerns of women and for failing to tackle issues like unemployment.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of a new airport terminal building and dedicated an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Jodhpur. He also inaugurated several infrastructure projects worth approximately Rs 5,000 crores in various sectors, including rail, road, health, and education. Prime Minister Modi reiterated his commitment to transforming India into a self-reliant and developed nation and expressed confidence in India's growing global influence. He vowed to lead India to become the third-largest economic power in the world in the coming years. Overall, Prime Minister Modi's speech in Jodhpur covered various aspects, from praising Indian scientists and promoting self-reliance to addressing political issues and inaugurating key infrastructure projects.
