PM Modi reaches Hyderabad to attend BJP national executive

HYDERABAD:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Hyderabad for a two-day meeting of the Bhartiya Janata Party's national executive (BJP).  After landing at Begumpet Airport in the city, he left for Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), the venue of the meeting, by helicopter.

Modi tweeted that he has arrived in the vibrant city of Hyderabad to attend the BJP's national executive meeting after getting there. We will debate a wide range of topics intended to further strengthen the Party during this meeting, he wrote.

The Prime Minister was greeted by Tamilisai Soundararajan, the governor of Telangana. Animal Husbandry Minister T. Srinivas Yadav welcomed him on behalf of the Telangana government.
BJP Senior leaders received Modi, then left for the venue in a helicopter. After landing at the helipad near HITEX, he reached HICC by road.

Tight security has been deployed around HICC for the meeting, which began at 4 p.m. J. P. Nadda, the president of the BJP at the national level, many central ministers, chief ministers from 18 states, presidents of the BJP's state organisations, and other leaders are among the 350 delegates to participate the meet.

On the first day the meeting is expected to continue till 9 pm. The PM will stay at Novotel hotel abutting HICC. Some other prominent leaders will also stay at the venue.
