New Delhi: After 75 years of independence, the country has got the gift of a new Parliament building. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday released a coin of Rs 75 in the second phase of the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building. The coin issued has a picture of Parliament House inscribed on it. The coin has 'Parliament complex' written in Hindi and Parliament complex in English. This coin issued with the year 2023 has been prepared in West Bengal.

BJP national spokesperson and Jaipur MP Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore shared glimpses of the event. It also includes photographs of the release of the coin. In his tweet with hashtags #NewParliamentBuilding, #MyParliamentMyPride and #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore termed it as the national anthem of new India. According to media reports, this coin worth Rs 75 has been made in the mint of Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. This coin of 33 grams is half silver i.e. 16.5Â grams. Apart from this, it contains 40 percent copper and 5-5 percent nickel and zinc.

The Rs 75 coin, measuring 44 mm in diameter, has a portrait of the new Parliament building on one side and a pillar of Buddhist emperor Ashoka on the other. 2023 is written just below the Ashoka Pillar. On one side, India is written in Hindi on one side and India in English on the other. Edges are also built around the coin. Such special coins are not bought and sold, so circulation is not in circulation in the market. However, a person can buy it if they want to keep it for storage as a memory. It can be purchased from www.indiagovtmint.in government website. However, they can be purchased by paying a price several times higher than the marked price on these websites.
