New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi has released the Hindi edition of the book 'Odisha History' written by 'Utkal Keshari' Dr. Harekrishna Mahatab from Ambedkar International Center, Janpath, New Delhi. So far this book, present in Odia and English, has been translated into Hindi by Shankarlal Purohit. During this, PM Modi said that about one and a half years ago, we all celebrated one hundred and twentieth birth anniversary of 'Utkal Kesari' Harekrishna Mahatab Ji. 

PM Modi said that today we are inaugurating the Hindi version of his famous book 'Odisha History'. The extensive and diverse history of Odisha should reach the people of the country, it is very important. It has been told that Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhartrihari Mahtab MP (LS), Cuttack will also be present on the occasion. The press release issued by the Prime Minister's Office states that "The Hindi version release is being organized by the Harekrishna Mahatab Foundation".

Let me tell you that Dr. Harekrishna Mahtab was one of the main revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement, he also worked as the CM of Odisha from 1946 to 1950 and from 1956 to 1961. He wrote the book 'Odisha History' at Ahmednagar Fort Jail, where he was jailed for more than two years from 1942 to 45.
