New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up to conclude a strenuous election campaign by embarking on a two-day meditation retreat at the renowned Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari.

Ahead of his journey to the southern tip of India, photos of PM Modi from December 11, 1991, surfaced on social media, capturing his participation in the Ekta Yatra. This unity march, led by veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, commenced from the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and concluded in Kashmir on January 26, 1992.

The Ekta Yatra aimed to demonstrate India's solidarity against terrorism, traversing through 14 states under the leadership of Joshi, with Modi playing a pivotal role in its organization.

PM Modi's upcoming spiritual retreat at the Dhyan Mandapam, where Swami Vivekananda meditated in 1892, holds significant symbolism. The Vivekananda Rock Memorial stands as a tribute to the revered Hindu philosopher-saint, embodying his vision for a prosperous India.

Swami Vivekananda's three-day meditation at this spot is believed to have inspired his vision for India's development, making it a fitting location for PM Modi's spiritual sojourn.

This retreat echoes PM Modi's previous spiritual endeavors, notably his meditation inside a cave near the Kedarnath shrine after the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, which garnered international attention.

PM Modi's visit to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial underscores the enduring legacy of Swami Vivekananda and India's commitment to national unity and spiritual rejuvenation.
