New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi spoke to Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan) of Abu Dhabi over the phone on Friday and the two leaders evaluated the continued progress in bilateral cooperation in various fields under the India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership.
PM Modi and Abu Dhabi crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also spoke on regional developments on Friday and agreed that there is no place for terrorism and extremism in the world. He has also emphasized the importance of standing with the global community against such forces. The conversations between PM Modi and Sheikh Mohammed come amid developments following the Taliban's capture of Afghanistan and the withdrawal of US troops from the war-torn country. PM Modi appreciated UAE's cooperation with the Indian community during the Corona epidemic and also wished them all the best for the Expo-2020 to be held in Dubai from October 1, 2021.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that during the phone conversation, the two leaders assessed the progress in bilateral cooperation in various fields under the Indo-UAE (UAE) comprehensive strategic partnership. On the other hand, PM Modi tweeted, "Meaningful talks were held with Mohammed bin Zayed. Reviewed progress in the comprehensive strategic partnership and discussed the recent regional developments.''
