New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Japan on May 23-24. Actually, here he is going to participate in the Quad Summit. Prime Minister Modi, ahead of his visit to Japan, said, "The Quad Summit in Japan will give the leaders of the Quad countries a chance to review the progress of the steps they have taken.

The leaders of the Quad countries will exchange views on developments in the Indo-Pacific region and on global issues of mutual interest. He also said, "I will be visiting Tokyo, Japan on May 23-24 on the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida." 

PM Modi also issued a statement saying that during this visit, he will have a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden. In the meeting, the two leaders will discuss ways to further strengthen multi-dimensional bilateral relations. "We will also continue to communicate on regional developments and contemporary global issues.'' He also said, "He will go to Tokyo at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida." In March 2022, the PM hosted Kishida for the 14th India-Japan Annual Summit.''

"During my visit to Tokyo, I look forward to continuing our dialogue with the aim of strengthening the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.'' He said, "In Japan, he will also participate in the second face-to-face summit of quad leaders, which will give the leaders of the four Quad countries an opportunity to review the progress of the quad's steps." 

"We will also exchange views on developments in the Indo-Pacific region and global issues of mutual interest. The Quad security dialogue will be attended by the top leaders of India, Japan, the US and Australia.'' PM Modi also said, "Australia's newly elected Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will participate in the Quad leaders' summit for the first time. I am excited to have a bilateral meeting with them, in which the multi-faceted cooperation between India and Australia under the Strategic Partnership and regional and global issues of mutual interest will be discussed.''
