New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will address guru parv celebrations to be held at Lakhpat Sahib Gurudwara in Kutch, Gujarat tomorrow on the occasion of the 552nd Prakash Parv of sikh's first Guru Nanak Dev. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement on Friday that every year from December 23 to December 25, Sikhs celebrate guru parv of Guru Nanak Dev ji at Lakhpat Sahib Gurudwara in Gujarat.

According to PMO's statement, 'PM Modi will address guru nanak dev ji's Guru Parv celebrations through video conference at Gurudwara Lakhpat Sahib in Kutch, Gujarat at around 12.30 pm on December 25. Guru Nanak Dev ji stayed in Lakhpat during his visit. Gurudwara Lakhpat Sahib has some of his important objects, such as manuscripts including stands and palanquins and gurumukhi script.' According to PMO, the gurudwara was also damaged by the 2001 earthquake and was repaired by Narendra Modi later without delay even while he was cm of Gujarat.

Pm Narendra Modi paid homage to Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh guru and founder of Sikhism, on november 19, saying that the guru's vision of a fair, compassionate and inclusive society still inspires us.
