Paris: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to France for the G-7 summit, met President Emmanuel Macron bilaterally. During the visit, the two leaders discussed a number of important issues. French President Macron endorsed the removal of Section 370 of the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir by the Modi government.

French President Emmanuel Macron on the Kashmir issue said there is no need for any third country to intervene on the issue. He said, this is a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also address the Indian community in Paris today. Prime Minister Modi and US President Donald Trump are scheduled to meet in France on August 26. Prime Minister Modi will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after France today.

Prime Minister Modi will have breakfast with French Prime Minister Edward Charl Philippe at 9 am. He will then speak to the UNESCO's DG at 10 a.m. At 10:10 pm, PM Modi will meet Millana Salvani, who was honoured with the Padma Award. He will then address the Indian community in France at 10:15 a.m. After the event, PM Modi will fly from Paris to Abu Dhabi at 11:30.
