Dehradun: Ahead of Uttarakhand assembly elections, PM Modi is scheduled to gift thousands of crores of rupees worth of schemes to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand today. PM Modi is on a visit to Dehradun today. PM Modi will gift development schemes worth Rs 18,000 crore to Uttarakhand today. Pm Modi also has the ability to address the Vijay Sankalp Maharally in Uttarakhand.  PM Modi's rally ahead of the upcoming assembly elections is being considered as an election conch sound.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of The Dehradun Economic Corridor from Delhi today. With its construction, the distance will be completed in 2.5 hours instead of 6 hours. This will benefit all passengers plying on this route along with Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand. The Delhi-Dehradun economic corridor is to be constructed at a cost of Rs 8300 crore.

Once this corridor is constructed, the time taken from Delhi to Dehradun will be greatly reduced. Now it takes six hours from Delhi to Dehradun by road, so it will take 2.5 hours after the corridor is constructed. The Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor will have seven main interchanges for connectivity to Haridwar, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Yamunanagar, Baghpat, Meerut and Baraut.
