NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet the chairpersons of all political parties representing in Parliament today on the Budget Session 2019. However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will not attend the meeting.

According to sources, Mamata wrote a letter to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi on Tuesday on the PM's call for a meeting of all party presidents. In the letter, Mamata said that she will not be able to attend the meeting of the heads of political parties convened by PM Modi on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a meeting with Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs on June 20.

At the same time, Prahlad Joshi had said that PM Modi would like to discuss a number of important issues including one country one election and the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at the meeting on 19th of this month. He said, since PM Modi wants to build team spirit in Parliament, he has convened a meeting of all Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs on June 20.
