PM Modi to inaugurate Bogibeel bridge in Assam today

Several developmental projects have been carried out in the Northeastern states of the nation in the last 4 years of PM Modi –led Government.After BJP came into power at the Centre, the works in progress were advanced in the region and Railway was engaged in connecting the northeast at faster pace.

In this row now the construction of 4. 94 kilometre long Bogibeel bridge on Brahmaputra river will connect the two northeast states of Assam and  Arunachal Pradesh.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bogibeel Bridge today.This Bogibeel Bridge on Brahmaputra river marks a historic milestone towards achieving the goal of New India.

It was in 2002, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee began the construction of the double decker bridge in Dibrugarh of Assam with the mission of connecting far flung areas.

Worth mention here The rail-cum-road bridge will be opened to traffic by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday on the birth anniversary of Atal Ji.

PM will also flag off the first passenger train passing through the Bogibeel bridge.The Tinsukia-Naharlagun Intercity Express will run five days a week.The 4.9-km bridge will cut down the train-travel time between Tinsukia in Assam to Naharlagun town of Arunachal Pradesh.
