GURUGRAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to formally inaugurate the Gurugram portion of the Dwarka Expressway in June, source said, adding that  the inauguration date of the project is yet to be finalised.

Before it launch, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will inspect the expressway .

The Prime Minister's vision project is the Dwarka Motorway. In light of this, a plan has been developed to have him unveil the highway's section in Gurugram.

The Gurugram section of the Dwarka Motorway and the full cloverleaf flyover at the Kherki Daula toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur Motorway are expected to be finished by May 15, according to the officials.

The Dwarka Motorway is being built from Gurugram's Kherki Daula toll plaza to Shivmurti in Mahipalpur, Delhi. 18.9 km of this motorway, which cost Rs 9,000 crore to build, is in Gurugram, and 10.1 km is in Delhi. Out of this, 23 km are elevated, while 4 km of tunnel are now being built.

From the Dwarka Expressway to the Palam Airport, a 3.6 km long tunnel is being built. near order to connect the Delhi-Gurugram Motorway to the Dwarka Motorway near Mahipalpur, a flyover and an underpass are both being built.

Senior district administrators and representatives from the National Highway Authority of India (NAHI) will review the Dwarka Motorway this week to evaluate the progress of the construction, officials  said.
