Gorakhpur: In mid-December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a branch of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Gorakhpur.
According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an AIIMS would be inaugurated in Gorakhpur in December, as well as a fertiliser factory that has been closed since 1990. o Yogi Adityanath said, "The AIIMS in Gorakhpur will be originally inaugurated next month. A desire for the establishment of an AIIMS in Gorakhpur has existed since 2004."
He also stated that the fertiliser facility, which has been shut down since 1990, would reopen next month. Both facilities will be dedicated to the public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He claimed that the state's healthcare system has seen a massive makeover under Prime Minister Modi's leadership.
Since independence, the state has only had 12 medical colleges, but the government is currently building 33 new medical institutions. The state of Uttar Pradesh will hold elections early next year.
