DEHRADUN, Uttarakhand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the 38th National Games in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, today (January 28, 2025). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has warmly welcomed the Prime Minister, describing his visit as a "proud and unforgettable moment for every athlete."

Sharing his excitement on social media X (formerly Twitter), CM Dhami posted, "A heartfelt welcome to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji on his arrival in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand for the inauguration of the 38th National Games! This historic occasion is a proud and unforgettable moment for every player in our state."

The Chief Minister also credited Prime Minister Modi for increasing awareness and enthusiasm for sports in the country. He noted, "Because of the Prime Minister's efforts, there is greater awareness of sports in India. Our young athletes now have a bigger platform to showcase their talents. Under his leadership, India has achieved remarkable success in sports on the global stage."

According to official information, PM Modi will arrive in Dehradun today and is scheduled to inaugurate the National Games at around 6 PM. This year, Uttarakhand has the honor of hosting the games during its Silver Jubilee celebrations. The event will be held across 11 cities in eight districts of the state from January 28 to February 14.

In a video message, CM Dhami assured that the state government has completed all the necessary preparations for this prestigious event. He said, "Uttarakhand is privileged to host the 38th National Games, and the state government has finalized all the arrangements. With the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this event will mark a golden chapter for sports in Uttarakhand. This historic event, taking place from January 28 to February 14, will inspire our youth to engage in sports and foster a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork."

He also encouraged citizens to take part in the event and support the athletes. "I appeal to everyone to actively participate in the event and motivate our players. Your contribution will make this event a grand success," CM Dhami added.
 

PM Modi will also inaugurate the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar. This global investment summit, organized by the Odisha Government, aims to position the state as a key destination for industrial growth and investments under the Purvodaya vision.

During the event, the Prime Minister will also open the Make in Odisha Exhibition, showcasing the state’s achievements in creating a robust industrial ecosystem. The two-day conclave, running from January 28 to 29, will bring together industry leaders, investors, and policymakers. The summit will feature CEOs' and leaders' roundtables, sector-specific discussions, business meetings, and policy dialogues to attract global investors.
