NEW DELHI: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has completed his first year as the Vice president of India and chairman of India. He was sworn in as the Vice-President of India on 11 August 2017. On the completion his first years, PM Narendra Modi is to release a book which will commemorate the completion of Vice president’s one year in office.

The title of the book is ‘Moving on, Moving forward: A year in office’ and it to release on Sunday. This book covers the Naidu’s ‘mission of engagement’ on various important issues such as unrealised demographic dividend, need for an effective ecosystem for farmers to thrive and bridge the rural-urban divide, orienting scientific advancements to better the life of the people, and enhancing public awareness about the rich Indian heritage and inculcating national pride in the country’s pluralistic. In this book, Naidu explains that his mission of exploring and shaping public discourse over four key issues took him on extensive travels across India since he became Vice President.

This 245-page book has 465 illustrations and seven chapters, including a detailed chapter on various steps adopted by Naidu as the Chairman of Rajya Sabha and refers to the rapidly expanding viewership of state-run RSTV.

Along with Pm Narendra Modi, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will also present at the launch of the book.
