New Delhi: Today is the holy festival of Diwali which is considered very special. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached the Border Security Force personnel stationed at Longewala in Jaisalmer. He left for Rajasthan on Saturday. He is now going to celebrate Diwali with Border Security Force personnel stationed at Longewala in Jaisalmer.
Keeping the tradition of celebrating Diwali with the soldiers, PM Modi has visited Jaisalmer border for the seventh consecutive time. The Prime Minister is accompanied by Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Narwane and Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Rakesh Asthana. The Prime Minister also wished the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Diwali this morning.
Through a tweet, he told the countrymen, 'Happy Diwali to all countrymen. May this festival bring happiness in the lives of the people and all of them remain healthy and prosperous.' On the same Friday, the Prime Minister had tweeted and said, 'This Diwali we all burn one lamp in honour of the soldiers who fearlessly protect the country. The spirit of expressing gratitude by words towards soldiers for their exemplary bravery cannot do justice. We are also grateful to the families of the soldiers who stood on the borders. Like every year, this time also the Prime Minister will celebrate Diwali with brave and courageous soldiers posted on the border. On 27 October 2019 last year, Prime Minister Modi celebrated Diwali with soldiers in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir.
