In September, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the US. where he will attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). This is Modi's first meeting of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in his second term. Earlier in 2014, PM Modi also addressed the UN General Assembly. This will be PM Modi's first visit to the US in his second term. He went to New York to attend the World Sustainable Development Summit in 2015. He will also attend the Climate Action Summit to be hosted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. During the visit, he is also to address the Indian community in Houston. It is believed to be so.

According to media reports, the climate conference will be hosted by Guterres on September 23. His plans to attend the climate conference are listed in the list of his upcoming tour, but no official announcement has been made about the Houston meeting. Prime Minister Modi will visit the United States on September 20-23 to attend the UN General Assembly meeting in New York. He will then visit Houston where he will address the Indian community in Texas. There is nothing clear about whether he will visit Washington DC, but it is believed that on the sidelines of various UN sessions, PM Modi will meet leaders of several countries in the world, including Trump.

Indian community leaders living in the US say Prime Minister Modi is expected to meet Indian-Americans in two US cities of Chicago and Houston. According to sources in the Indian community living in the US, Prime Minister Modi will be in Houston ahead of the UN special meeting on climate change on September 23 and will visit New York from Houston to address the UN session. When he first visited the United States after becoming prime minister in 2014, a large crowd gathered at New York's Madison Square. There were about 20,000 Indian-American community members who witnessed the strong enthusiasm to meet the Indian Prime Minister. According to the 2010 census, Texas is number four in the case where most people of Indian origin live. Prime Minister Modi has met three large Indian communities in New York, San Jose and Washington to explore an opportunity to join the Indian community living there during his foreign tour. This will be his sixth visit to the US as Prime Minister.
