PM Modi to visit Lucknow, will launch Projects Worth Rs 60,000 Crore

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today will lay the foundation stone of a number of development projects in Lucknow. He will be present at an event on 'Transforming Urban Landscape'. This event will mark the third anniversary of three key government initiatives related to urban development, as ANI reported.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two day visit to Lucknow on 28th and 29th July.

Here are the Key points -

1. The development projects include: Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban); Atal Mission for Rejuvenation of Urban Transfornation (AMRUT); and the Smart Cities Mission.

2. The Prime Minister will visit an exhibition on Flagship Missions of Urban Development. He will interact with 35 beneficiaries of PMAY (U) - one from each State/UT.

3. He will receive feedback from PMAY beneficiaries, via video conferencing, from different cities of Uttar Pradesh.

4. He will lay the Foundation Stone for various projects under Flagship Missions, in the State of Uttar Pradesh. He will also address the public meeting.

5. In its Endeavour to attract investments and promote industrialization, the Yogi Adityanath Government of Uttar Pradesh had organized the UP Investors Summit in February 2018.

6. This led to generation of investment intent worth more than Rs. 4.28 lakh crore across sectors like Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Power, IT & Electronic Manufacturing, Tourism etc.

7. Within a few months, investment proposals for 81 projects amounting to an investment of about Rs. 60,000 crore have now materialized for Ground Breaking.

Worth mention here the Prime Minister will be present at a Ground Breaking  Ceremony for these projects in Lucknow on 29th July.
