New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the high level 'Action and Solidarity: The Critical Deced' segment in COP26 on climate change on Monday evening. COP26 began on Sunday and will end on November 12.

An official in New Delhi has said that "PM Modi is scheduled to address the first day of the two-day high-level segment at around 3 pm (around 8.30pm Indian time)."

Modi will attend the opening ceremony COP26 at 12 noon and before the high-level event, he will be part of a bilateral meeting with his UK counterpart Boris Johnson. Earlier, his programme for the day will begin at 10 am with community representatives, Indian Diaspora and Indian scientists. Modi has left Rome for Britain late on Sunday evening after attending several bilateral meetings, including attending the G20 summit and a face-to-face meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
