Rewa: For the past several days, there was a political stir in Madhya Pradesh. But now the cabinet of Shivraj government has been expanded. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has gone on a Delhi tour. Chief Minister Shivraj has met Union Minister of State for Power RK Singh at his residence during this time. CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has invited the Union Minister to participate in the launch program of Asia's largest solar power plant in Rewa.

Chief Minister Chauhan said that "The 750 MW Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Project is going to be dedicated to the nation by video conferencing by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the last Delhi tour, the Prime Minister has given his approval. The solar power plant inauguration program is scheduled on July 10."

Power generation started from this solar plant in 2018. Now 750 MW is being produced from three units. 24 percent of its total electricity generation is supplied to Delhi Metro. After this, electricity has been supplied for almost two years. Electricity demand of Madhya Pradesh has increased in the country's capital. Also, with the solar power of Rewa, the name of Rewa has once again come on the international stage due to Delhi's metro operations. According to officials of Energy Corporation, solar power plants are being set up in three districts including Mandsaur, Neemuch in the state.
